It's time for spring cleaning! Drop off your old documents at the board office anytime from Monday, May 2 to Monday, May 16, 8:30 am – 5 pm.

AAABoR will have locked Allshred Services bins available at the Board office, and items will be shredded expertly and confidentially by Allshred Services. Paper clips, staples and binder clips do not need to be removed. Plastic folders and three ring binders may not be included.

AAABoR legal counsel, McClelland & Anderson, recommends that real estate agents keep their real estate client files (particularly contracts, disclosures and closing statements) for a minimum of 7 years. All trust or escrow account records must be maintained for a period of not less than 3 years from the date of inception of the records according to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

Suggested minimum voluntary RPAC contribution is $10 for two boxes. Contributions from Affiliate members will be directed to RPAC 2 (REALTORS® ballot issue committee).
