Quadrennial Code of Ethics
Quadrennial Code of Ethics
Every four (4) years all REALTORS® are required to complete two and a half (2 1/2) hours of Ethics Training. The National Association of REALTORS® current quadrennial period (3rd cycle) ends December 31, 2008.
Failure to meet the requirement for the third cycle (2009-2012) and subsequent four (4) year cycles will result in suspension of membership for the first two months (January and February) of the year following the end of any four (4) year cycle or until the requirement is met, whichever occurs sooner. On March 1 of that year, the membership of any Member who is still suspended as of that date will be automatically terminated.
NAR's Code of Ethics Training and Michigan's 2-Hour Legal Update
Please remember that this is different than the 2-hour legal update mandated by the State of Michigan.
You may link to the state DELEG website to verify your continuing education credits (this is the same site used to verify a license).

Fortunately, taking an approved ethics class couldn't be easier. You can complete your required Code of Ethics training online for free. This means that the class is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which allows you to complete your training on your current schedule. There are places that allow you to pause the course (read the screen to find places to pause) so that you can take a break along the way. Please print this instruction sheet for assistance with this course.
Option 2:
The CE Shop, AAABoR's partner in online education has two courses available that meet this NAR requirement and provide a total of 4-hours of continuing education.
Option 3:
