Nancy Bowerbank

Photo of Nancy BowerbankI am a full time REALTOR® and have been a member of the Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS® since 1997. I have held various management and agent positions at the Charles Reinhart Company, and have always been a hard working REALTOR®, closing 40-50 transactions per year the last several years. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor and currently reside in Ypsilanti. I have a passion for the Real Estate business and feel the public’s need for qualified REALTORS® has grown dramatically in the last several years.

Our business and guidelines need to reflect the current selling trends (short sales and bank sales) and our educational programs should enhance our practice. I feel a responsibility to serve the Board having benefited greatly from all the services I have used that the Board provides. I have served on the ML Committee (Member) and the Grievance Committee (Chair) and have always enjoyed working with my fellow REALTORS®.

Many of you who have had transactions with me over the years know that I take my profession seriously even though I often find humor in our day-to-day activities. It would be my pleasure to serve your best interests as a member of the Board of Directors.

Marian Gregor, GRI, CRS, ABR

A photo of Marian GregorI am Marian Gregor and I would like to represent you on the Board of Directors.

Why should you vote for me?

As a long time (25 year) Ann Arbor area resident, I continue to involve myself in things that will improve this community for everyone. I am an active 4H Horse club leader, helping kids develop responsibility through proper care of their equine companions. I have successfully mentored troubled teens. I am a 'go to' person, advising agents just starting out as well as their experienced counterparts.

I have participated on one or more committees nearly every one of the 25 years that I have been a REALTOR®. I do not just sit around and wait for others to get things done. I stepped up to the plate when the ML Committee needed a chairperson. We accomplished many things during my first year as chair in 2009. I helped secure a new contract for MLX at a significantly lower cost than we had previously paid. With the help of the committee, we vetted & secured Pocket Real Estate for our members when on the go.

Even with all that the MLS Committee accomplished in 2009, there was still much to do, so I chaired the ML Committee again in 2010. I was instrumental in launching the team for short sale searching and MLS data clean up. I continue to be a voice for AAABoR members to maintain costs. There has not been an increase for 8-years! In addition, I continue to maintain my role as I have for the past several years on the Finance Committee. I am committed to keeping your costs as low as possible.

I look forward to seeing you at the General Membership Meeting where I will share with you some exciting news!

Nick Lacy

a photo of Nick LacyNick was born and raised in Ann Arbor. After graduating from the College of Wooster in Ohio, Nick moved to St. Louis and taught high school for 4 years while his wife, Sarah, was in Med. School at Washington University. Nick taught high school World History, and coached volleyball and soccer. He also started a reading club to improve literacy scores and encourage reading for enjoyment.

Nick and his wife returned to Ann Arbor in 2003, at which time Sarah began her Residency at Mott Children’s Hospital, and Nick began working full time at the Ann Arbor YMCA as the Director of Camp Al-Gon-Quian.

Since 2006, Nick has been a REALTOR with Edward Surovell REALTORS and in January of this year was promoted to a Sales Manager. He currently serves on the MLS committee.

While he is not busy as a full-time REALTOR, Sales Manager, and father of 2-young kids, Nick volunteers with the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor. He chaired the tutoring committee for 3 years, and still tutors fifth graders weekly, and also mentors seniors from Stone School and helps them transition to college.

Nick serves on the Board of Directors of the Ann Arbor YMCA, and chairs the Camp Al-Gon-Quian Committee. He has been an active participant in the Ann Arbor YMCA’s annual scholarship campaign, which ensures that all kids have the opportunity to go to camp regardless of their ability to pay. In 2008 and 2009, he was the chair of the Small Communities division.

Nick enjoyed being on the MLS committee, and wants to increase his involvement with the Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors by becoming a member of the Board of Directors.
