The Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS® Board of Directors approved policy changes regarding reinstatements. Beginning January 1, 2009, the following reinstatement charges apply:

For REALTORS® who reinstate with a different firm.

• REALTORS® with a lapse of AAABoR membership that is between 31 and 90 days must pay a $200 reinstatement fee (see exception).
• REALTORS® with a lapse of AAABoR membership that is between 91 days and 1-year must pay a $220 or $230 reinstatement fee (see exception).
• REALTORS® with a lapse of AAABoR membership that is more than 1-year must re-apply as new members and pay the current application fee.

For REALTORS® who reinstate with the same firm.

• REALTORS® with a lapse of AAABoR membership that is between 1 and 6 days must pay a $25 reinstatement fee (see exception).
• REALTORS® with a lapse of AAABoR membership that is between 7 and 90 days must pay a $200 reinstatement fee (see exception).
• REALTORS® with a lapse of AAABoR membership that is between 91 days and 1-year must pay a $220 reinstatement fee (see exception).
• REALTORS® with a lapse of AAABoR membership that is more than 1-year must re-apply as new members and pay the current application fee.

Exception: REALTORS® who were terminated because their Broker/Designated REALTOR® was terminated for non-payment.
Firm is defined as: All offices under the same ownership.
Lapse is defined as: The time between the termination effective date and the reinstatement/transfer date.

CBOR/CPIX Agreement

The Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS® has entered into an agreement with the Commercial Board of REALTOR® (CBOR) to offer commercial benefits to AAABoR members, including guest listings, at no additional cost. Members of AAABoR can search listings on CPIX.net, the commercial information exchange by selecting "Partner MLS Systems" in the lower right corner on the MLXchange homepage, or by going directly to www.CPIX.net and selecting "Search Listings" in the upper left corner. AAABoR members can also take advantage of commercial education and commercial forms provided by CBOR.

For an additional cost, AAABoR members may also choose to join CBOR as a secondary member to enjoy full participation in CPIX, receive the member newsletter, and receive member pricing for events. AAABoR members will receive a discount on CBOR and CPIX fees by joining through the Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS® (see CBOR/CPIX fees for more information).
