REALTOR® Ethics Training

For Existing Members

Existing REALTOR® members must complete 2.5 hours of ethics training, meeting specific learning objectives and criteria, within three-year cycles.

REALTORS® who have completed the required ethics training within a three-year cycle in one association shall not be required to complete any further ethics training for that same training cycle if the REALTOR® becomes or is a member of another association.

We have a new online education provider, Michigan Institute of Real Estate. Some of our previous CE classes have been administered by them. Namir George (owner of Michigan Institute of Real Estate) is an Affiliate member of the Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS®.

The National Association of REALTORS® and its affiliated Institutes, Societies, and Councils provide a wide-range of programs and services that assist members in increasing skills, proficiency, and knowledge. Designations and certifications acknowledging experience and expertise in various real estate sectors are awarded by NAR and each affiliated group upon completion of required courses.

Education and Event Cancellation Policy


Fees for Education or Event Cancellation

Board Policy 5.3 States, "A fee will be charged for any cancellation made less than one week before class begins. NO REFUNDS will be given once a class begins."

Event Fee:                                       Cancellation Fee (for cancellations received less 
than 7 calendar days before the event):
$ 76 or greater $ 50
$ 51 - $75 $ 25
$ 31 - $50 $ 15
$ 16 - $30 $ 10
$ 15 or less 100% of event fee
